About Me

I have been diving since 1988. With the advent of digital photography and a cheap housing for my point and shoot camera, I began my adventure into underwater photography. I craved for more and brought my passion topside. It is so important to me to never have strong expectations that photographing a subject should turn out a certain way in order to be a success. I look for the delight in a mundane location just expecting the unexpected. My main inspiration is developing my own personal vision and style in photography.

My goal is to create images that is left to the viewer's imagination. Pictures that tell a story through creative light, composition, color, and, at times, the abstract to depict more fantasy than reality.

My accomplishments are meager but I am always striving to perfect my art. I have had several of my photos published in trade magazines. I was commissioned to design the cover for the South Hampton Garden Club's annual garden book, "On the Road Again: Seeing Texas Through Flowers." I have trained with National Geographic Professional Photograher, Mark Thiesson, and have had one of the creative art photos published in the National Geographic Online Magazine. My sports car photos have made the cover of the Lone Star Porsche Club magazine, “PorscheNaut.”

My underwater photography is on display at the Moody Gardens Aquarium, Galveston, Texas.

For my underwater photography, I am using a Nikon D200, with a Subal Housing and two Inon Z240 strobes. For my topside photography, I am using the Nikon D3 professional camera.

I am a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals, Nikonians Institute, Houston Underwater Photographic Society, and Houston Inner Loop Photography Club
