About

KCH-photo5

I am a semi-professional photographer, located in Conroe, TX., who specializing in nature, wildlife and underwater photography. I like to think of myself as more of a photo artist than a photo realist. I take my images through Photoshop and move them with textures and filters that soothe and inspire.

I am a wife, mom, grandmother, scuba diver, wildlife photographer, craft nut, and a hopeless travel addict. My husband is a fly fisherman. So we combine our love of travel with our love for the outdoors. And, “love of the outdoors” does not mean camping out. I do love my creature comforts . . . staying in three to five star hotels. And, we are on a time schedule to travel, dive, fish, and photograph before we get too old. So if I’m not online processing photos, or out taking pictures, you will find me making greeting cards or curled up with my Kindle Paperwhite and a cup of tea.

Pixel Safari is a blog about my adventures and misadventures globe totting, photographing the miracles of nature and the strange creatures that inhabit our underwater world.

My work has been published in various photography magazines, including National Geographic online magazine. And, I was honored with the coveted award of the 2011 and 2010 Houston Underwater Photographic Society’s Underwater Photographer of the Year.

For the past years, my underwater images have graced the walls of Moody Gardens Aquarium, Galveston, TX.
